BrightView acquires landscape companies

BrightView Holdings Inc., Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, acquired two landscape companies, Baytree Landscape Contractors Inc., Atlanta, and West Bay Landscape, Bradenton, Florida.

Baytree, a full-service landscape firm, operates from six primary locations: Atlanta; Johns Island, South Carolina; Charleston, South Carolina; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Nashville, Tennessee.

“We are pleased to add Baytree, a landscaper with a stellar reputation for high quality work, to our operations in the Southeast,” says Andrew Masterman, BrightView president and CEO. “Like BrightView, Baytree has achieved success across the spectrum of landscape services: design, development, irrigation, maintenance and enhancement. We look forward to bringing their skilled workforce and leadership into the BrightView family.”

At peak, Baytree employs more than 370 team members.

“The team at Baytree is excited about the many opportunities that being a part of the BrightView organization will bring,” says Andrew Watkins, Baytree president and CEO. “The people part of our business is everything. BrightView has put a priority on that from day one of this process.”

BrightView also acquired West Bay Landscape, a landscape maintenance firm in Bradenton, Florida.

“West Bay is a leader in the Central Florida market and represents an important addition to our existing landscape maintenance operations,” says Masterman. “Over the past four decades, West Bay has grown steadily and today is one of the region’s top landscape maintenance firms. We are delighted to welcome them to BrightView.”

West Bay’s primary focus is commercial landscape maintenance, serving clients within a 30-mile radius of their base in Bradenton, south of Tampa Bay on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

“We are excited to join the BrightView family, and for all of the new opportunities this will bring to our team,” says Ron Sikkema, West Bay president. “With BrightView’s enhanced resources, processes and systems, we will be able to expand West Bay’s standard of high level customer service within our market.”
