A landscaping company in Colorado Springs is now offering sanitizing services of public spaces as they adapt to closures due to COVID-19, according to an article<\/a> by KRDO News.<\/p>\n

Joshua Pool, the chief operations officer at Timberline Landscaping<\/a>, says the company will offer commercial and residential outdoor sanitization to help prevent the spread of viruses and bacteria.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith all the stuff that\u2019s going on in the world today we figured \u2018What could we do to help our society and our neighborhoods, and our children and families, as well as provide jobs for people right now that are looking for work?\u2019\u201d Pool says in the article.<\/p>\n

Although COVID-19 primarily spreads through respiratory droplets from person-to-person, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says there\u2019s evidence suggesting the virus can remain viable on different surfaces.<\/p>\n

Pool says they will be offering the service even after the local outbreak goes down.<\/p>\n

Doug Nelson, sales consultant for Waxie Sanitary Supply, says his company provides the disinfectant used by Timberline Landscaping.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe product we\u2019re using is a hydrogen peroxide disinfectant,\u201d Nelson said. \u201cThere\u2019s no film left behind using that chemical. So there\u2019s no substrates where those viruses can live.\u201d<\/p>\n

Some of the surfaces the company will clean and sanitize are park and community area high-touch surfaces, including playground structures, trash cans, benches and handrails.<\/p>\n

Pool says their businesses falls under the \u201cessential\u201d services list because it provides sanitizing for other companies. He says this is a way for the company to adapt and find work while also providing a service to the community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
