Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd.<\/a>, Kobe, Japan, determined that its Motorcycle and Engines business unit, Grand Rapids, Michigan, will operate independently as of Oct. 1, 2021. The move will increase flexibility for these categories to respond to market opportunities and innovations.<\/p>\n

Kawasaki Engines Division of Kawasaki Motors Corp. U.S.A. will have a more efficient concept-to-market process that will provide the division with greater latitude in the overall development timeline. No changes to employee structure or responsibility are expected.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis move is recognition of KHI\u2019s confidence in the success of our engine business that has steadily grown over the past decade,\u201d says Nelson Wilner, engines division vice president. \u201cIt provides us greater autonomy to pursue opportunities that will provide benefits for our entire Kawasaki Engines family \u2013 our OEMs, distributors and dealers.\u201d<\/p>\n
