LawnStarter<\/a>, a provider of on-demand lawn and outdoor care based in Austin, Texas, acquired of Lawn Love, San Diego, in a cash-and-stock deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.<\/p>\n

LawnStarter and Lawn Love will operate as separate brands, led by Steve Corcoran, LawnStarter co-founder and CEO. LawnStarter\u2019s headquarters will stay in Austin. Jeremy Yamaguchi, Lawn Love founder and CEO, is remaining with the combined company.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe combination of LawnStarter and Lawn Love will further propel growth of the on-demand economy for lawn care and other outdoor services,\u201d says Corcoran. \u201cJoining forces enables LawnStarter and Lawn Love to be even more disruptive together as we continue to revolutionize the outdoor services industry.\u201d<\/p>\n

LawnStarter and Lawn Love are graduates of two prominent accelerators, Techstars and Y Combinator. The companies have benefited from a rise in on-demand marketplaces with companies such as Uber, Lyft, Doordash and GrubHub.<\/p>\n

Yamaguchi says his company\u2019s acquisition by LawnStarter allows both businesses to better capitalize on the growth of on-demand, tech-enabled services since the outset of the pandemic.<\/p>\n
